To mark the end of the season and to take us somewhere new, the club met up in London for a photographic walk in the area between London Bridge and Tower Bridge.

We met up at London Bridge station, managing to corale the stragglers and starting from the Shard (not a favourite of judges), we headed across London Bridge and along the far river bank promenade, popping out just outside the landscaped ruins of St. Dunstans in the East. Unfortunately a little too late to get inside, but better for pictures if you peer through the railings. We cut from there through to the Tower of London, temporarily losing one of our group while they fetched a cheaky Espresso, before finishing the circuit of the Tower and back along Tower Bridge.

I’m sure the crowds of tourists were less than pleased as well all fought to get good views of the Thames, More London and HMS Belfast, but undeterred we carried on, catching the late-night promenaders outside City Hall and up to Hays Galleria. Apart from losing the same person again, we settled in The Horniman for a drink and a chat about the experiences of the evening.

With thanks to Jane McGuire for arranging an excellent evening out.
